Data & Google Analytics

Trustworthy data, so every decision rests on something real.

If the tracking is wrong, every report, every bid and every budget call is wrong with it. Arlieo gets your GA4, conversion tracking and attribution accurate and keeps it that way.

The problem with most analytics setups

Reports full of numbers. None you can trust.

Most businesses have GA4 installed and almost none have it set up properly. Conversions double count or miss entirely. Form fills fire on page loads. Attribution credits the wrong channel. Spam clogs the data. The numbers look authoritative and mean very little.

Then every decision built on them is a guess wearing a suit. Automated bidding optimises toward bad signals. Budget moves toward channels that only look like they work.

Arlieo gets the foundations right. Accurate tracking of what actually matters, so the rest of your marketing has solid ground to stand on.

What it covers.

Six things that make your data worth trusting.

  1. 01

    GA4 Setup and Audit

Configured properly, or checked if it already exists. Events, conversions and settings that reflect your real business.

  2. 02

    Conversion Tracking

Enquiries, calls, form fills and sales tracked accurately. No double counting, no firing on the wrong trigger.

  3. 03

    Google Tag Manager

Tags organised, controlled and firing correctly. No mess, no duplication, no broken triggers.

  4. 04

    Attribution

Which channels actually drive enquiries and revenue, seen clearly. The basis for sensible budget decisions.

  5. 05

    Spam and Data Hygiene

Bot and spam traffic filtered so your reports reflect real people and real behaviour.

  6. 06

    Reporting That Makes Sense

Reports built around commercial questions, not a default dashboard nobody reads.

The Approach

Get the foundations right before reading anything into the data.

  1. 01

Audit the current setup. What is tracked, what is broken, what is missing.

  2. 02

Define what matters. The conversions and events that actually reflect commercial value.

  3. 03

Fix tracking and tags. GA4, GTM and conversions corrected and tested.

  4. 04

Clean the data. Spam filtered, attribution set, history made readable.

  5. 05

Build useful reporting. Reports that answer real questions, for marketing and leadership.

Not sure your data is right?

The audit checks your tracking first.

Tracking and data integrity are the first thing the Multi Channel Audit reviews, because everything else depends on it. You find out exactly what you can and cannot trust.

Common Questions

What businesses usually ask about GA4 and analytics.

We migrated to GA4 but the data does not look right. What usually causes that?

GA4 migration issues are common. The most frequent problems are conversion events that were not recreated from Universal Analytics, session counts that look different due to GA4’s changed session model, self-referral traffic inflating sessions, internal traffic not excluded, and enhanced measurement events firing incorrectly. The Multi-Channel Audit reviews all of these and produces a prioritised list of what needs to be corrected.

Our Google Ads reports say one thing and GA4 says another. Which is right?

Neither is definitively right, they use different attribution models and different methods for counting conversions. Google Ads attributes by ad interaction; GA4 attributes by session source using a different model. The gap between them is normal but should be understood. If the gap is very large, it usually points to a specific implementation problem such as double-counting or incorrect tag firing, which the audit will identify.

Do we need Google Tag Manager or can we just use GA4 directly?

For most businesses, Google Tag Manager is worth using. It allows conversion events, custom tracking and third-party tags to be managed without code deployments, and it gives a single organised place to audit what is firing on your site. Direct GA4 implementation via a site plugin can work for simple setups, but GTM offers more control and is generally easier to maintain and audit over time.

We have a Shopify store. How does GA4 eCommerce tracking work with Shopify?

Shopify has a native GA4 integration that handles basic purchase events, but it has limitations — particularly around earlier funnel events like add to cart and begin checkout, and around accurate revenue attribution when discounts, gift cards or multiple currencies are involved. For businesses where eCommerce data accuracy is commercially important, a reviewed and tested implementation via GTM is usually more reliable than the native integration alone.
